Meet Dr. Robertson Dr. Robertson was born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin. He completed his undergraduate work at Duke University, his medical education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, his residency specializing in head and neck surgery at the University of Illinois, and his fellowship specializing in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at an Emory University associated program. In 1996 he was hired as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and the first Director of Facial Plastic Surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He continued to serve the university full time as a mentor, clinician and surgical instructor until 2003, when the private practice of Robertson Plastic Surgery was created. Dr. Robertson is Double Board Certified in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as Head and Neck Surgery, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Robertson currently resides in Madison with his wife and three children. He opened his clinic in 2003 to provide more personalized service and complete patient satisfaction with regards to privacy, safety, comfort, and natural appearing and visible results. Back to top Nonsurgical Services Our surgical practice also offers state of the art skin care procedures that optimize results with little or no healing time. Simple office procedures offer dramatic results with little or no time required for healing. Botox Cosmetic- an extremely effective treatment for reduction or elimination of facial wrinkles in the brow, forehead, crow’s feet, and lip regions. State of the art uses now focus on smaller amounts to shape and contour the face, without creating a blank, masked appearance. Botox- extensive experience with additional applications for intractable migraines, TMJ disorders, excessive sweating, and facial nerve disorders. Injectable fillers- uses a variety of biocompatible agents like Restylane, Hyalaform and Perlane to selectively fill most fine facial lines, scars and deep creases, as well as provide yet another option for augmentation/enhancement to thin or aging lips. Microlaser Peels- the latest proven agent in skin rejuvenation, using fourth generation erbium technology to precisely ablate 10 to 40 microns of skin irregularity. Healing takes place with mild redness and peeling in 4 to 8 days, with dramatic improvement in color and texture irregularities. With one to three treatments patients enjoy results far greater than ever before without prolonged healing time or discomfort. Laser Peels- the same erbium laser incorporates a more aggressive mode to provide the safest and most effective means for maximal wrinkle reduction with only one treatment and healing period. Our exclusive Broad Band Light (BBL) device creates multiple treatment options to target specific components of the skin. Now a wider range of skin types and skin disorders can be more effectively resolved without sacrificing safety or selectivity. Permanent hair reduction- BBL has emerged as one of the most effective devices for significant hair reduction. Due to incomplete hair follicle activity multiple treatments are required, but BBL safely expands appropriate patients to darker skin types as well. Pigmented lesions- lifts and sheds skin color irregularities from freckling, sun damage, pregnancy, age spots or surface skin lesions. This may take the form of prominent pores, pigment irregularities, acne activity, loss of elasticity, dryness, scarring, and diffuse wrinkles. Crystal Free Microdermabrasion- the Diamond Tome system has the advantage of diamond-encrusted wands to gently remove the superficial damage contributing to wrinkles, acne, scars, sun damage, or large pores. The effect is immediate skin freshening and toning without downtime or crystal debris. In addition, the crystal free body wand can quickly and effectively treat large areas such as the back arms and legs. A package of four to six procedures is encouraged in order to maximize result. Medical Microdermabrasion- a four step treatment utilizing crystal free microdermabrasion, chemical peels, a biO2 Oxy-Mist ™ treatment and home care to effectively drive targeted skin care supplements like bleaching agents or vitamin C products into excessively discolored or damaged skin. Back to top Surgical Services Endoscopic Browlift- utilizes small incisions hidden within the hairline to gently lift and contour the brow. Create a relaxed, open look without looking shocked or surprised, all with less down time risk and less extensive incisions. Transblepharoplasty Browlift-for those patients already undergoing upper eyelid rejuvenation, the same eyelid incision is utilized to subtly add additional elevation to the lateral eyebrow arch. Specialized Browlifts- shapes the brow of selected cases utilizing previous incisions, hairline placement in patients with high foreheads, male pattern baldness, or limited release for a minimally invasive browlift. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty- removes the excess skin and/or above the eye to restore a clean, youthful crease with virtually no visible scarring.
