Periorbital Skin Resurfacing
Dark circles around the eyes can be a result of pigment deposition in the skin, lax muscle and skin in the lower lid casting shadow, descent of tthe cheek from the orbital rim, or thinning of the soft tissue over the orbital rim. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty, highlighted above, addresses the contour irregularites that develop with age. However skin resurfacing, with either chemical peels or erbium laser technology, adds further rejuvenation to the skin. Fine lines are smoothed, pigment is improved, crows feet are permanently decreased.
